A superb utility piece, The North Face TKA Echo Full Zip pullover for men is ideal for skiing, climbing hiking, camping and backpacking--or simply running out to buy the paper at the local coffee shop. The North Face recently updated this best-selling technical fleece pullover and improved the wind resistance four times more than previous Men's TKA Echo Full Zip top incarnations. While you might be inclined to opt for a favorite tee or sweatshirt on camping trips, the fast-drying fleece fabric in the TKA Echo Full Zip gives you far more--more thermal warmth, less dampness, better wind protection and moderate ultraviolet protection. Unlike cheap or conventional fleece, the lofty SDS grid fleece in the TKA Echo Full Zip features tiny square pockets that help trap and retain thermal warmth close to your skin. The result is far more warmth in a pullover that weighs less than equally thermal-efficient fleece tops. The TKA Echo Full Zip is also Zip-in compatible with other identically sized jackets and shells from The North Face, so you can keep this versatile top available in your outerwear wardrobe throughout the entire year.

This North Face fleece is top notch. The zipper breast pocket is very handy. I bought this to replace an older TKA 200 Curtis fleece. This one is warmer than the old TKA 200 (which is more like the current TKA 100). That being said, this fleece is a great balance for moderate climates in the winter. I find (albeit subjective) the fleece keeps me comfortable in the 35-50 degree temperatures with light-moderate wind. When the wind is howling or the temp is lower, you may want a shell to keep the wind out or go with a heavier fleece.

Designed for functionality outside to keep you warm on cold weather hikes and on the slopes, The North Face Men's Khumbu Fleece Jacket is comfy enough for aprs ski lodge-lounging with your feet propped up in front of the fireplace. This versatile full zip fleece jacket is made from TNF's proprietary midweight TKA 300 series fleece with a wind flap behind the zipper to help retain body heat. It's soft, cozy and durable and made to wick moisture and dry out quickly if it gets damp. This North Face fleece jacket has elasticized cuffs and a hem cinchcord to keep out chilly drafts and snow. Constructed as a zip-in compatible piece to complement your North Face winter shell, it makes a perfect insulating mid layer for cold days of skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing. The standard fit eliminates unnecessary bulk but leaves plenty of room for layering underneath when you wear it as a warm jacket on a summer camping trip. Stay outside to enjoy the peace and quiet in The North Face Men's Khumbu Fleece Jacket when cool-to-cold temps drive the others inside.

I had the North Face TKA 200 previous to this fleece. That was a 200 series, this is a 300 series. Big difference in warmth. YES!
This thing is super warm, and if you are thinking this for mild conditions, such as low 50s, it will work. But, you may get warm quickly. (Of course, this is highly dependent on your body type). That is why I brought up the TKA 200 that is discontinued (although the ECHO TKA 200 exists now). I lost the TKA 200 and was looking for a suitable replacement.
This was not the replacement I was looking for. I however, I may keep it for colder weather. In the low 40s, this rocks.
Build quality is strong. I may consider buying a NF shell in the future to zip it into. (I have owned if for approximately 1 month)

The North Face added a splash of fun to the Caden Beanie, a traditional wool/acrylic hat with three stripes and colors. Ideal for hitting the slopes or for relaxing aprs a grueling session.

I have had a tough time finding caps that actually will cover the bottom of my ear lobes. This one does without too much slack up top. My head is not huge, btw.
The quality in the stitching is apparent. I cut the label out on the inside to make it a hair more comfortable when wearing...pun intended.
Overall, I am very impressed. I have owned it for less than a month, but I expect it to last a long time.
