Classic style with a twist. The warm wool of the Outdoor Research Gradient Hat keeps you focused when blast of cold air threatens to chill you to the core as you check your route bearings. Keeping you toasty and protected, this hat's impermeable boiled wool never lets you down; just like your spot-on internal compass. You're still on the right track as you push on towards the trails' end.

The hat is comfortable and attractive. It fits snug around the sides of my head without being overly tight. It's made of dense, quality wool that appears durable and keeps my head warm no matter how hard the wind blows or how cold the weather is. I would prefer if there was less room in the upper part of the hat, I have a small head so it doesn't fit flush against the top of my skull, but this is forgivable since other people may need more room upstairs. I like the style of the hat and will buy more in other colors. The soft inner headband feels comfortable against my ears and forehead and provides a bit more insulation to seal out the cold right where it's needed. It took me a while to find a hat that looks good and performs as I'd hoped. Would recommend it to anyone.
Pros Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, attractive
Cons: a bit loose up top
